Upon arriving to Khartoum on Friday afternoon we got the news that many had already been anticipating. Sadly, the Tour d’Afrique will not be traveling through Kenya for the first time since it was started in 2003. Upon arriving at Moyale, the border town between Ethiopia and Kenya, we will suspend the tour for two weeks and restart again on March 16th in Arusha, Tanzania. This will mean we stay on schedule to arrive in Cape Town on May 10. This step has been taken due to the unexpected and continuing violence in Kenya since the election in late December.
For further information and up to date news look at the official Tour d’Afrique website.
Also don't forget to look at UNICEF's website and the great work they do. Only a small donation can make a great difference in the lives of children and their families.
